Back to basics!
Two recent articles in the Independent show the shocking level of carelessness prevalent among drivers when it comes to two of the most basic aspects of driving safety: checking your tyre tread depth and making sure you have your lights switched on after dark. 54 percent admit they've accidentally driven without lights in the past year, while 68 percent are unaware of the legal tread depth for tyres. How many accidents would be avoided if both of these figures were reduced to zero?
